JASON JOHN
General Manager

Jason completed his City & Guilds apprenticeship and advanced course in Carpentry and Joinery in the UK, whilst working for CIL shop fitters in London. During his 12 years service, Jason moved quickly from bench joiner to site fitter to Foreman working on world wide projects, in countries such as Russia, China, Canada and the Middle East. In 1999, Jason joined Depa Interiors Dubai (then named Arabtec Hotel Interiors) as a package manager working on the very prestigious Burj Al Arab interior fitout. In 2000 Jason was seconded by Pino Meroni Yacht Interiors, where he joined as project manager in managing their yacht interior division where he has played a key role in the success of its overall growth. In 2005, Jason became promoted to his current position of General Manger.



MOHANNAD IZZAT SWEID
CEO and Director, DEPA United Group

Mohannad Sweid is Depa’s Chief Executive Officer and co-founder. In 2006, Mr Sweid spearheaded Depa’s expansion to several countries and oversaw the acquisition of leading companies in the fields of interior contracting and furniture manufacturing. His vision and leadership has helped cement Depa’s position as one of the largest interior contracting companies globally. With more than 25 years of experience in managing top consulting and architectural companies in the Middle East and the USA. Prior to founding the Group, Mohannad has served as the Managing Partner at Rochan Fine Arts in Saudi Arabia and prior to that he worked for Vesti Corporation in Boston, USA where he held the position of Vice President for Middle East Operations. Mohannad studied architecture and design at the Boston Architectural Centre.

Depa United Group is the world’s largest interior contractor. It operates principally in the luxury fit-out sector with a focus primarily on the hospitality, commercial and residential property developments as well as airport, retail, yacht, theming and specialist fit-out sectors.

The company became incorporated as a company limited by shares in the DIFC, Dubai International Stock Exchange, and in London Stock Exchange in 25 February 2008. The Group was established in 1996 by Mr. Mohannad Sweid, current CEO, and certain other individuals. In 1998, the Group’s operations were significantly expanded with the acquisition of an Italian based interior contractor, Pino Meroni Yacht Interiors, and the relocation of its headquarters to Dubai. Through a combination of various subsidiaries, joint ventures and acquisitions across a number of countries and market segments within the interior contracting industry, and with approximately 8,000 employees worldwide, Depa has grown to become a leading provider of interior contracting services as well as a provider of manufacturing products and procurement services in the Middle East-North Africa region and Asia.
